7 Goals for May

It's the start of another wonderful month filled with many more adventures I'm sure - I like to set myself some small monthly goals and this time I want to share them! This may also inspire you to start setting your own short term goals, it's a great way to achieve small accomplishments from week to week. You should never be looking back on times in your life and wonder what you did, you should always be making new memories and adapting and changing.

1. Cruelty-free beauty products only

-I've recently been making an effort to wear much less makeup, and I've never felt so comfortable and more myself. But this month will be the start of purchasing cruelty free, vegan products only. I want to begin to make my lifestyle much more organic and healthy.

2. Meditation 2 times a day

-Meditation is a practice I try to do at least once a day, however I sometimes find myself making excuses not to do it. Although this month I shall work it back in to my daily routine and try to practice for at least 10 minutes in the mornings and evenings.

3. Focus on expanding my blog and website

-I'm one month in to my blogging journey and despite a few obstacles in the road, I feel like it's quickly becoming one of my greatest passions. I'm hoping to add a shop very soon and begin selling handmade/organic products. I can see a very long and bright future for my website and it will no doubt be something that will stay with me for many more years.

4. Continue with my weekly meditation class

-Now that my mum has returned from her 5 months in the Alps adventure, we have decided to attend a local guided meditation class every Thursday, I plan to stick at this and achieve a higher level of inner peace by this time next year.

5. Spend more time working on myself alone

-I'm someone who loves a lot of company, I love to surround myself with people. And this is great but I feel like it's time to start making more of an effort to stand alone and work on myself. When you're around people a lot, I feel like you begin to mirror them and become a projection of what they want to hear. If you live like this then you will begin to loose sight of who you really are. So this is the month of my independant spiritual growth.

6. Start planning my volunteering journey

-I will be joining many different volunteering programmes following my one year photography course, I'm completely open minded as to what I want to do and where I want to go. Anywhere from Africa to America. This month I want to start planning my journey and signing up to various projects and just begin this exciting new adventure.

7. Cut all ties to negativity

-Last month was a real eye opener for me. I had been isolated from negativity for so long but following the publishing of my blog I was thrown back in to the world of judgements and jealousy. However I have been able to stop focusing on the people who were bringing this in to my life and get my mind back on it's path and now I will continue to move forward stronger than before. This month I will be taking the message 'They can imitate your style but they can't imitate your creativity' with me at all times. And be proud that I have created something that others want to be part of, whether their intentions are good or bad.

Namaste, Brooke x
